- Were formerly – or currently – signed to major or nationally distributed indie label

- Are independent artists with major buzz that have had at least one successful, nationally distributed release
- Have demonstrated strong success in album sales (typically sold more than 50,000 units of your last title or 100,000 over your career)
- Have professional management and/or booking representation
